About Me

I was born in the Pacific Northwest to two parents who worked hard to provide for the family. They are also both very creative. My dad a constant writer of poems and stories, I'd often find his brilliant words scribbled on napkins or scrap paper and shoved in drawers or used as coasters on the coffee table. My mother dabbled in acryclic paints, stained glass, music (piano), cross stitch, latch-hook, and pretty much anything else that allowed her creativity to escape into the world.

As a teen, I wanted to express myself and entertain through acting. There was a small problem with this. Stage fright. So, instead, I found refuge in writing.

It wasn't until my mid-thirties that I decided to write my first full-length novel. Since that day in August of 2008, it's been my passion to write my stories to share with readers. It's been a long journey thus far and I've enjoyed every minute!

I also enjoy hanging out with my brilliant seventeen-year-old son and loving husband, reading, hiking, traveling, and running. I ran my first marathon in 2014 and hope to do it again soon. In 2015 we participated in our first triathlon. It was awesome! Hawaii and Washington are my two favorite states.

My husband and I live a plant-based lifestyle for moral reasons, health, and to help the environment. Factory farming is the most cruel practice and for us to torture and then slaughter innocent sentient beings simply because they taste good is completely outrageous and barbaric and something we will never participate in again. I believe that if everyone ate a whole-food plant based diet, cancer cases would be a minimum, heart disease a thing of the past, and hunger something found in history books. There will never be peace in the world if the pain and killing we cause and do doesn't stop.

Thank you for reading my stories. If you enjoyed them, please feel free to leave a review at the place of purchase or on Goodreads.
